Frequently asked questions

What print method is better? What produces the best quality?

In the printing world, no singular print method is better than any other. Each method is widely unique and might be better for a specific job for a variety of reasons.
The method that suits your needs will vary depending on your budget, print quality, style or content of artwork, and the materials on which you'll be printing.
If you're looking to order and are trying to determine which print method will be best for your brand, check out the table above or speak with a Packlane expert

How can l avoid plate and die costs for printing?

You'll always dodge that here at Packlane. Our digital CMYK printing eliminates the need for costly plates and dies, transferring the savings to you.

What is the difference between PMS and CMYK?

CMYK is a four-color process that uses four different plates to create an image. It is a tried and tested technique that has been used for hundreds of years. The
Pantone Matching System is ideal for jobs that need accurate and exact colors. This is also a more expensive printing process.

What are your minimum order quantity requirements?

For product boxes, our minimum order is low to help budding entrepreneurs. For corrugated cardboard product boxes, you can order as few as a single piece. For
cardstock boxes, you only need to order at least 25 for a custom job.

I don't have a design yet - how will my choices for design and print methods affect pricing?

We recommend finishing your design first before ordering so that the pricing information is accurate to your project's exact requirements. You can use our 3D
online designer to create your box design from scratch. You can upload your logo or other images.add text. shapes. and colors.

Why should I switch from lithographic or flexographic printing to digital?

Digital printing can produce high quality images similar to lithographic and flexographic prints, but faster and at a fraction of the cost. With digital printing, there are
no plates needed, making it cheaper and faster. The image quality remains high and more importantly, consistent across different print jobs. Another good reason is
that digital is more environmentally friendly, since it uses less waste than traditional printing methods.
